The easiest way to ensure strength and rigidity in a scope mount is to make it chonky, but then what’s the point in having a lightweight rifle? Finding the perfect balance between strength and weight is the goal, especially when using a magnified optic. Samson Manufacturing’s new Rapid Precision Mounts aim to solve this exact problem. Built for balance, this is the Samson RPM.

Samson Manufacturing news @ TFB:

Rapid Precision Mounts

The Samson Rapid Precision Mounts (RPM) feature a lightweight design that won’t compromise durability or accuracy. Integrated into the clamp cross bolts are two steel recoil lugs to help eliminate scope base movement during heavy recoil to better maintain zero. The scope ring bases utilize threaded steel inserts to prevent the internal threads from being stripped by the ring cap screws, extending the lifespan of the rings if you decide to change out your optic. The RPM is the perfect mount for your favorite optic.

Rapid Precision Mounts

The Rapid Precision Mounts are designed to be lightweight, but not to compromise the integrity of the mount. The RPM uses a 2″ offset to provide proper eye relief. The mounts are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and are finished with Type III Class 2 hard coat anodizing. All of this is done in New Hampshire, U.S.A. Dual steel recoil lugs are integrated into the cross bolts, which use 1/2″ steel thumb nuts. To prevent internal threads from being stripped, the RPM utilizes threaded steel inserts in the scope base. The scope base mounts to standard 1913 Picatinny rails. Samson will soon offer 34mm, 35mm, and one-inch rigs.
