Optics are a core part of any firearm build and the 12 Days of TFB Christmas is a great time to pick up a new optic for all those new rifles and pistols I know you have on your Christmas list. Hop of TFBTV and myself have been talking shop about the optics side of the industry for months now and I’m personally convinced that we are beyond spoiled for choice these days when it comes to both inexpensive and quality optics (sometimes both at the same time). EuroOptic is currently going through a pretty massive sale on all of their optics and we’re for sure going to take advantage of that! Whether you’re looking for a long-range scope for taking down game or a red dot sight to jump into the carry optics field then we should have you covered with today’s listings. Let us know if you find any great deals on optics you like down in the comments below! Oh, and don’t forget to work off that Christmas ham with some flat range training!
2nd Day of TFB Christmas: Opulent Optics and Scopes
Red dots and magnifiers are a quick, lightweight, and inexpensive way to get the most out of your platform by adding close and long-range capabilities to a rifle. The Romeo5 features a true 1X magnification while the JULIET 3 features 3X magnification extending the range at which you can positively identify targets and engage them. The combo is priced at $339.99 right now which is nearly $160 off of its normal list price for the combo.
Vortex’s Razor HD line of riflescopes is nearly universally praised by everyone I know who has purchased one and as far as LPVOs go, it is one of the better options on the market. The Razor HD Gen II 1-6×24 hits that sweet spot of magnification ranges that work well with a 24mm objective lens and has an almost industry-standard 30mm tube for great light transmission. This particular scope that is on sale features the JM-1 BDC reticle that is fine-tuned for heavier 223 loads and is damn near perfect for 3-gun competition use. Currently on sale for $899.99.
If you were instantly put off by the name Crimson Trace, then you’d be doing yourself a disservice. Over the last couple of years, Crimson Trace has really put in a lot of effort to update and modernize its product lineup and the CT Hardline Pro series of optics has been a surprise to me in terms of value and capability. This riflescope features the CT Custom FFP MR1-MIL Reticle and is compatible with the Trace Ballistics calculator and is currently on sale for $591.96.
Spotting scopes are usually a buy once cry once type of deal but I’m never one to pass up a good offer when I see one. The Leupold SX-2 Alpine HD features a 4mm to 1.3mm exit pupil depending on the magnification level and also features an angled viewing piece for better comfort when viewing from a standing position. The generous 60x magnification is also equally useful at the range for spotting hits on targets as it is out in the field trying to spot wild game. You can pick up one of these high-magnification beasts right now for $429.99 from EuroOptic.com.
Clear glass, rugged construction, and no batteries. These are all qualities that the Trijicon ACOG line of riflescopes has brought to the table for decades and I still have several versions of the legendary ACOG topping some of my favorite rifles for those same reasons. This particular ACOG is designed around the M193 cartridge and features a BDC reticle to match. Normally ACOGs go for well north of $1,000 but right now you can pick this one up for $949.99.
SIG Sauer hits our list again, this time with the Romeo1 Pro. This small reflex sight is one of the most popular red dot optics on the market for its large window size, 20,000-hour battery life, and SIG’s Motion Activated Illumination system that adapts to conserve battery life. The Romeo 1 Pro also features a durable steel shroud protecting the lens and the remainder of the optic is made from reliable and lightweight CNC machined aluminum. Right now at EuroOptic.com, the Romeo 1 Pro can be picked up for $319.99.
