The mysteries of the Incan empire are legendary. To this day, modern archaeologists marvel in wonder at 100-ton stones used to build their earthquake-proof structures. But one thing scientists figured out is what these ancient people once ate. And AWA Nutrition made it possible for you to eat it too.

AWA Nutrition built its line of products around protein, creating botanical blends that combine nutrition with vitamins and minerals for a healthy body. They have built their products around the “lost crops of the Inca.” Meaning: plants that were grown in the Andes mountains before European influence swept away so many ancient traditions and techniques.

The ingredients in these products include the Andean lupine, quinoa, golden berry, along with more familiar items like passionfruit. AWA Nutrition processes and manufactures fruits through a Good Manufacturer Practice facility.

In particular, golden berries are sweet and tangy, with a hint of a sour taste. It’s the main ingredient in the golden berry powder. These fruits were prized by the Incans as healing food and were used to treat digestive problems. The berries have natural anti-inflammatory properties and packed with vitamins, antioxidants and carotenoids. These compounds improve your adrenal system health, which in turn can reduce feelings of irritability and anxiety.

Lastly, the protein powders and shake mixes offered by AWA Nutrition come in a huge variety of flavors. There’s an Ecuadorian cacao superfood protein smoothie and tropical splash protein powder made with lemon and coconut. AWA Nutrition’s aim is to provide these Andean superfoods for people with all fitness levels and goals in mind. And if it worked for the ancients, why not for you?
